1.Introduction and Scope

This Privacy Policy describes how ADAB Squad Customer Services Inc. and its affiliates ("ADAB," "we," "us," or "our") collect, use, disclose, and protect information in connection with adab.ca (the "Site") and, where relevant, in connection with services provided by ADAB's subsidiaries. This Policy applies to information collected through the Site, including through contact forms, and does not apply to information collected offline or through channels not linked from the Site.

ADAB is based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and this Policy is designed to be consistent with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Ontario privacy law. Where required by applicable law in a jurisdiction where an ADAB subsidiary operates, including jurisdictions in Asia and Europe, we will honor the additional rights afforded to individuals under that law.

2.Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, the topic of your inquiry, and the content of any message you submit through a contact form on the Site;
  • Information collected automatically, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and general usage patterns, collected through standard web server logs and, where enabled, analytics tools;
  • Information you provide in the course of an actual client, partner, or investment engagement with ADAB or one of its subsidiaries, which is governed by the terms of the applicable service agreement in addition to this Policy.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, such as government identification numbers, financial account credentials, or health information, through the Site's contact form. Do not include this type of information in any message you submit through the Site.

3.How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and communicate with you about the topic you raised;
  • Route your inquiry to the appropriate team or subsidiary within ADAB;
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Site and understand how it is used;
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or misuse of the Site;
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not use information submitted through the Site to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning you.

4.How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

  • With ADAB subsidiaries, where your inquiry concerns a specific subsidiary's services and sharing your information is necessary to respond to you;
  • With service providers who perform functions on our behalf, such as website hosting and email delivery, under obligations to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we specify;
  • Where required to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or a valid governmental request;
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets involving ADAB, subject to standard confidentiality protections;
  • With your consent, or at your direction.

5.Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Site may use cookies and similar technologies to support basic functionality and, where enabled, to understand aggregate usage of the Site. Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings, including refusing or deleting cookies. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of certain features on the Site.

6.Data Retention

We retain personal information submitted through the Site for as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry, maintain business records consistent with standard recordkeeping practices, and comply with our legal obligations. Where information is collected in connection with an active client, partner, or investment relationship, it is retained in accordance with the retention terms of the applicable service agreement and applicable law.

7.Data Security

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information submitted through the Site.

8.International Data Transfers

Because ADAB's subsidiaries operate across North America, Asia, and Europe, information you submit may be accessed from, transferred to, and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including Canada, which may have data protection laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction. Where we transfer personal information internationally, we take steps intended to ensure that it continues to be protected in a manner consistent with this Policy and applicable law.

9.Your Rights and Choices

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, and to withdraw any consent you have provided for its use. To make such a request, contact us at info@adab.ca. We will respond to verified requests within the timeframe required by applicable law.

We may need to retain certain information notwithstanding a deletion request where retention is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, resolve a dispute, or enforce our agreements.

10.Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information.

12.Marketing Communications

If we send you any marketing or promotional communications, you may opt out at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions included in the communication or by contacting us at info@adab.ca. Opting out of marketing communications does not affect transactional or service-related communications necessary to an active engagement.

13.Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this Policy indicates when it was last revised. Your continued use of the Site after a revised Policy is posted constitutes your acknowledgment of the update.
